What You’ll Get to Do:

The Manager will lead a program finance team that is responsible for all program financials, including management and review of cost, funding, labor charging and all aspects of forecasting and internal reporting requirements. The PFAs will operate as the liaison between the PM and accounting organization for all finance and accounting issues.

Qualifications :

  • Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and direct a team of three Program Finance Analysts (PFAs).

  • Foster a collaborative environment under the guidance of the Operating Group Finance Manager.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Guide your team in supporting program managers through financial planning and analysis.

  • Assist in collaborative efforts with other functional support personnel (contracts, subcontracts, HR, etc.) to ensure comprehensive program support.

  • Oversee the accurate review and setup of contract awards or modifications for proper financial alignment.

  • Manage the updating of Estimates at Completion (EACs) for Fixed Price and Award Fee contracts, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial tracking.

Strategic Financial Activities:

  • Collaborate with the Division Manager and PFAs to create annual operating plans, long range plans, and support forecasting updates.

  • Participate in monthly Program Management Reviews, preparing and reviewing financial reports.

  • Lead monthly rolling forecast reviews and perform analysis to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.

Operational Support and Compliance:

  • Ensure the team is equipped to handle all customer and vendor requests in compliance with contract requirements and provide accurate reporting on customer funding utilization.

  • Oversee team to ensure customer invoices are billed correctly and timely, and manage the posting of all month-end accruals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management and team leadership within a program-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively across various functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience to include 3+ years of program control OR financial management

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills to work with large data sets to perform analysis and monthly manual spreadsheet report in support of monthly invoice

  • Ability to work with multiple support functions (contracts, procurement, accounting, engineering)

  • Good foundation of accounting principles to include cost collection, revenue recognition, invoicing, and unbilled reconciliation.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, SmartView, COGNOS

  • Experience in a matrixed organization

  • Corporate accounting experience Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) experience

  • Experience generating Annual Operating Plans (AOPs)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
