What You’ll Get to Do:
You will be an experienced systems engineer to support the sponsors engineering branch. You will be a seasoned systems engineer performing wide variety of duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for a light-enterprise Microsoft Windows-based environment. You will be capable of applying sound engineering practices, good judgement and technical skills to achieve both short and long-term goals as established by client management. You will assist in the configuration and deployment of a full complement of Microsoft operating systems infrastructure, to include Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows Workstation, and complimentary services and software. You will be a proactive self-starter requiring minimal supervision who can monitor existing infrastructure, identify and coordinate implementation changes to address problems or engineering changes with little to no impact to the end users.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Active TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance
10-15+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows enterprise environments, including administration or Active Directory and the management of group policy security configurations
Experience with trouble shooting domain connectivity and performance issues
Experience working with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion
Significant experience with automation and scripted deployment of Windows resources, to include servers and workstation images
Window Server Update Services (WSUS) knowledge and hands on expertise across various enclave environments
Experience with VMware technologies, to include vSphere 7/8, VSAN, and specifically VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Understanding or knowledge of cloud computing concepts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to work with partners, engineering, and vendors
Quick learner, detail oriented, demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment (high sense of urgency)
Good communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers
Analyze customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying degrees of complexity
Performs maintenance and upgrade of the following computing environments: Windows Server 2022/2019, Windows 10/11
Must be well experienced with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, PowerShell scripting, to include automation and configuration management such as Ansible and Terraform/Packer, with HEAVY emphasis on scripting and automation
Responsibility for engineering designs, development, and implementation of domain policies, hardening, and related procedures related to core infrastructure
Responsible for performance and availability monitoring, providing appropriate access controls, hardware and software installation, as well as configuration and maintenance of all Windows-related technologies
Perform Tier III analysis and troubleshooting of network servers and workstations, LAN-based connectivity, security services, and related infrastructure
Maintains current knowledge and documentation of relevant technology
Provide end-user support and issue resolution
Provide helpdesk support for network issues and respond to requests for IT support
Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$102,900 - $216,200
