The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an Electronics Technician II to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Program and Strategic Systems Projects (SSP) Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS). The specific VAS includes: Maritime FLIR (MARFLIR) II Family of Systems, Shipboard Infrared Visual Sensor System (SIRVSS), Sea Star SAFIRE (SSS) III, M400 FLIR, M500 FLIR, and Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).
Responsibilities:
Assist with developing and reviewing VAS Capabilities Development Documents, Performance Specifications, Statements of Works, Interface Control Documents, Maritime (ship/boat) Installation Drawings, Operator and Maintenance Manuals, and Training Documents.
Identify and brief designated Commands of VAS capability gaps.
Assist with prototyping and fabrication as needed for maritime installation equipment.
Review, study, and understand all relevant program documentation, technical manuals, training curriculum, acceptance test plans, and laser safety approvals pertaining to VAS.
Perform Inventory and document the results for the VAS at the designated Commands/bases.
Perform Software Upgrades of the VAS equipment.
Perform troubleshooting analysis on reported failures as needed.
Perform System tests and document results for the VAS at the designated Commands/bases. Work with OEM to repair failed items from testing.
Perform technical assessments maintenance plans to meet mission requirements.
Perform technical assessments of repair analysis for systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.
Test and evaluate maritime electro-optics systems
Evaluate and annotate test plans and procedures
Develop test plans, reports, procedures, and documents
Assist with verifying VAS installs are acceptable by inspection and functional testing.
Assist with identifying VAS install issues and recommended corrective actions.
Document all recommendations made to the Government and annotate with rationale on all assumption used to arrive at the recommendations.
Assist designated Commands with any VAS issues and keep NSWC Crane EO Tech Division apprised on these issues and resolutions
Qualifications:
Required:
US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Typically requires at least seven years of related experience. Technical training equivalent to an associate's degree preferred.
Proven track record performing a wide variety of complex activities associated with installing, maintaining and servicing electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment.
Experience understanding and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings. Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles in order to return equipment to operational condition and solve problems.
Desired:

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
Minimum Req uired Hourly Wage:
$25.74
