What You’ll Get to Do

CACI is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a record of accomplishment in information assurance in support of the US Marine Corps. The position will be based in Norfolk, VA with possible travel to customer site a few times annually.

What You'll Get to Do :

  • Collaboratively monitor and report the security posture for mission critical systems, including communicating risk and recommended mitigations.

  • Collaborate with development, system administration, and test teams to maintain secure applications and environments.

  • Perform Risk Management Framework (RMF) tasking in support of system accreditation and authorization for system deployment.

  • Prepare and deliver customer deliverables and scope execution requirements established by customer.

  • Provide information assurance expertise, be highly self-directed and motivated, and collaborate respectfully with their teammates, always keeping user mission first.

  • Work with highly motivated teammates that will support you and expect reciprocal support.

  • Be self-motivated understanding technical concepts, have good communication skills, and able and willing to collaborate on technical items with the larger team.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • Must have active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable IT-related), 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, system administration, or equivalent combination to reflect knowledge and experience.

  • Must possess certifications that meet or exceed DoD 8140 ISSM role requirements (ex. CompTIA Security+, CISSP).

  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity policies, procedures, and practices (including RMF and NIST SP 800-53 publications) to achieve and maintain system accreditation and authorization.

  • Experience developing RMF artifacts and implementing security controls.

  • Experience analyzing, summarizing, and reporting security vulnerabilities and weaknesses verbally and in writing to the appropriate level of leadership.

  • Knowledge and experience using DoD tools and capabilities for vulnerability assessments and compliance reporting (eMASS, ACAS, STIGs, SRGs, SCAP, XCCDF, etc.)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cybersecurity, Information Technology and Network Architecture. This includes understanding of computers, operating systems (Linux and Windows-based), networks, network devices, deployment environments (e.g., data center, cloud, etc.), systems and application security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Experience working with developers and system administrators to identify, communicate, and resolve issues. This includes developing and implementing mitigation strategies and methods to resolve problems, and to lead re-testing and re-evaluation of affected systems.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate team interaction and support system documentation.

  • Possess ability to work independently and meeting strict standards.

Preference Given for this Experience:

  • Experience supporting information assurance for USMC-based projects, including use of MCCAST.

  • Experience performing information assurance for cloud environments.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
