CACI is seeking a Network Operations (NOSC) Infrastructure Tier 1 Analyst to support a 24x7x365 enterprise operations center. Analysts will be responsible for monitoring network management tools and dashboards, analyzing problems, troubleshooting, coordinating, and reporting all operational information concerning the enterprise network infrastructure and related outages, degradations, and issues.

This is a customer facing position that requires significant experience in customer service and the ability to remain calm, tolerant, and professional in a stressful and demanding environment.

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work the shift assigned.

The NOSC Infrastructure Tier 1 Shifts are:

  • Sun – Tues and every other Wed 7:00AM – 7:30 PM

  • Sun – Tues and every other Wed 7:00PM – 7:30 AM

  • Thurs – Sat and every other Wed 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

  • Thurs – Sat and every other Wed 7:00PM – 7:30 AM

*The shift will be confirmed when a vacancy occurs and will be discussed during the interview if known. The selected Tier 1 Analyst must be able to complete training their first 2 – 3 work weeks, Mon – Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The training length is based on their ability to demonstrate mastery of the position requirements.

The work location for this position is the Nebraska Ave Complex (NAC) in Washington, DC, currently with telework authorized with a signed telework plan agreement. The candidate must live in the National Capital Region (NCR) commuting area (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia area) and be able to commute to the NAC when required.

Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for monitoring and operating computer electronic digital computers to process business, scientific, engineering, or other data according to operating instructions; ensures that correct peripheral equipment is utilized and moves switches to clear system and operates the equipment; selects and loads input and output units with materials. Continuously observes equipment, storage devices, printers and control panels for operator messages or error indicators. Sets up and runs diagnostic test and reacts appropriately to the messages and reports errors or machine malfunctions as required. May perform work incidental to machine operations such as maintaining production records, replenishing specified stock items, and distributing output materials. Operates peripheral equipment to perform such operations as tape-to-printer. May work with multiple systems.

About the Role:

The NOSC Infrastructure Tier 1 Analyst will:

  • Provide first-line Network Operations investigation and diagnosis of all incidents, logging all details and prioritization codes into ServiceNow incident tickets.

  • Monitor Network and Cloud Network Management Tools and respond to alerts, and incident tickets created directly by Spectrum, Dynatrace or manually created upon receiving calls, emails, and other correspondence.

  • Conduct technical services and support at the Tier I level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.

  • Installation and support for remote access platforms such as VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix

  • Promptly assign unresolved incidents to higher Tier support or internet service providers to coordinate restoration of service and obtain the necessary information for recording/tracking the outage or degradation of service.

  • Obtain regular updates from vendors and service providers. Keep component NOCs informed of their incident’s status at agreed intervals and continuously update incidents as needed.

  • Notify Govt Leads and other stakeholders of high impact/priority failures using the appropriate escalation procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience. (Candidates without a Bachelor’s degree will require an additional 6-years of relevant experience)

  • Routing/switching experience in an enterprise network operations center or a related environment.

  • Knowledge of network fundamentals and protocols such as Open Shortest Path First Protocol (OSPF), Boarder Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).

  • Experience with Cisco command line interface and configuration

  • Basic knowledge of cloud fundamentals and experience with cloud system monitoring.

  • Experience using Network Managements Tools and Call and Ticket Management Systems

  • Strong customer service and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ITIL service delivery concepts

  • Experience working with wireless technologies, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), WAN Accelerators and associated technologies.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow; creating, updating, and closing tickets

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$54,200 - $111,000
