CACI is looking to hire a Warfare Systems Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will provide our clients with expert combat systems technical support for the development of next generation naval vessels. This entails amphibious, aircraft carriers, combatants and other future ship classes across their acquisition program life cycle.
This is a hybrid opportunity and will require you to be located at the Washington Navy Yard 3 days a week on average with weekly/monthly touch points at NSWCDD.
The Primary Focus for this role as the Warfare Systems includes but isn’t limited to:
Execute Technical, Manage, and support System Engineering for Warfare Systems Ship Integration to include Navigation, Interior Communication (IC) and Combat systems for Ford Class Carriers. Provide direct support to the Carrier Warfare System Engineering Manager (SEM) and Ship Design Managers (SDMs).
Ensure that the systems engineering and Ship Integration efforts are aligned. Follow a disciplined Configuration Management (CM) process that assesses the impacts of proposed changes to the architecture, requirements, ship design, and cost.
Execute Headquarter Modification Requests (HMRs) to document the CM changes to the ships baseline. Involvement in the development and presentation of proposed baseline changes to the Proposed Changed Board (PCB) and to the Configuration Change Board (CCB) for approval by the Program Manager.
Conduct system engineering efforts in the area of ship integration which results in the design and integration of the Warfare Systems aboard the next generation Aircraft Carrier and across all SSDS programs. Work with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple System Commands to address ship integration issues with Warfare Systems design and ensure that technical solutions are developed for incorporation into the ship design.
This effort is a subset of engineering activities that are managed and coordinated as part of total ship design effort for New Construction Aircraft Carriers, thus requiring coordination and liaison with the other engineering, management, and production activities that includes and not limited to NAVSEA Technical Codes, PMS 379, SEA 08, NAVWAR, NAVAIR, Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs), SUPSHIP Newport News, Planning Yards, TYCOMs, and Customer Contracted Teams (CCTs) and supporting contractors.

Qualifications:
US Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
Willingness to travel 10% of the time
Capable of performing design shipchecks onboard MSC and Navy ships
Bachelors of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, ABET accredited technical degree or equivalent military combat systems experience
Possess solid attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical abilities
7+ years of engineering experience, with 6 years of combat systems experience in acquiring, designing, installing, testing, evaluating, operating, or troubleshooting US Navy Combat Systems Suites (either AEGIS or SSDS)
Five years of experience performing as an engineering team lead in charge of 10 or more team members
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to market CACI team capabilities
Experience briefing complex technical issues to clients and respective decision makers with regards to cost, schedule, performance, and risk

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$74,600-$156,700
